Sarajevo, 7 August 2026 – Based on the Report on the completed verification of submitted candidate lists for compensatory mandates for the 2026 General Elections, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today's session, certified all 64 candidate lists comprising a total of 773 candidates, submitted by 36 certified political parties/coalitions.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will publish all certified candidate lists by 20 August in the daily press, the official gazettes and on its website, www.izbori.ba.
At today's session, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina also adopted the Decision on the Management of the Main Access Code (Master Secret), the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and the appointment of PKI Administrators for the implementation of specific election technologies, by which it also appointed the Commission for the management of cryptographic material of the election information system.
The Main Access Code (Master Secret) is divided into three mutually independent parts using an appropriate code-sharing method. Each member of the appointed Commission receives and safeguards only one part of the Main Access Code and no individual member of the Commission is able to independently reconstruct or use the Main Access Code.
