Training of trainers for the training of presidents and deputy presidents of polling station committees for the 2026 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Sarajevo, 31 July 2026 – In cooperation with the OSCE Mission to BiH, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina today organized in Mostar a training session for trainers responsible for the training of presidents and deputy presidents of polling station committees for the 2026 General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Training sessions had previously been held in Sarajevo and Banja Luka, with approximately 150 trainers completing the program.

The training covered five thematic modules: the role, competences and responsibilities of the president of the polling station committee, preparation of the polling station and organizing the work of the polling station committee, opening of the polling station and the voting procedure, handling special situations during voting, closing of the polling station, determination of the results and handover of the election materials.

During the training, participants also took part in practical exercises on the use of specific election technologies.
