48,074 voters in the excerpt from the Central Voters' Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2026 General Elections

Sarajevo, 30 July 2026 – At today's session, among other matters, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina considered the reports on voter registration for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted through the “e-Elections” portal, as well as the registration of refugee voters in the Central Voters’ Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Based on these reports, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Decision on determining and publishing the number of voters entered in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2026 General Elections, establishing that a total of 48,074 voters will be included in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2026 General Elections, which will be held on 4 October 2026.

This Decision enters into force on the day of its adoption and will be published on 30 July 2026 on the website of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, www.izbori.ba, and shall be deemed to have been served on all participants in the electoral process on the date of its publication. Pursuant to Article 6.9, paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an appeal against this Decision may be filed with the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina within two days of its publication, or, in this specific case, due to the non-working Saturday and Sunday, no later than Monday, 3 August 2026, by midnight.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina also adopted a Decision rejecting registration in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for 5,263 applicants for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina with temporary residence status, as they did not meet the requirements prescribed by Article 3.15, paragraphs (2) and (3) of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted a Decision rejecting registration in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for 285 applicants for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina with refugee status, as they did not meet the requirements prescribed by Article 3.15, paragraphs (7), (8) and (9) of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The list of voters whose registration in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2026 General Elections has been rejected, as well as the overview of refugee applications that do not meet the requirements for registration in the Central Voters’ Register for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2026 General Elections, will be published today on the website www.izbori.ba, under the "2026 General Elections" section. All affected persons may file an appeal with the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina no later than Monday, 3 August 2026, by midnight.

Appeals shall be submitted through the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina and delivered by fax to 033/251-329, by e-mail to [email protected], or in person at the seat of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 7 Danijela Ozme Street, Sarajevo.
