Procedure for the Preparation of Ballots for the Repeat Early Elections for the President of Republika Srpska

SARAJEVO, 21 January 2026 – In accordance with the Instruction on the Preparation, Protection and Packaging of Ballots for the repeat early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, the Main Counting Centre will commence the preparation of ballots on 22 January at 10:00 a.m., using unused ballots from the Early Elections held on 23 November 2025.

The ballots will be taken from bags containing unused ballots from all regular polling stations in the basic constituencies of Bijeljina and Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, up to the required number of 85,070 ballots. If the number of unused ballots in the aforementioned basic constituencies is insufficient, bags containing unused ballots from all regular polling stations in the constituency of Modriča will also be taken.

Bags containing unused ballots will be transported under police escort from the Warehouse of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Main Counting Centre. All prepared ballots will be delivered by 26 January 2026 to the printing house CPA d.o.o. Tojšići – Kalesija for the printing of the marking “Repeat Elections” on the front side of the ballot, over the text of the instructions on the correct manner of voting.

The procedure for the preparation of ballots at the Main Counting Centre may be observed by all observers accredited to observe the work of the Main Counting Centre, in accordance with applicable regulations. For technical reasons, the Main Counting Centre has been relocated to the Education Centre within the premises of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at Danijela Ozme Street 7, Sarajevo.
