Tomorrow marks the beginning of the election campaign for the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska
Sarajevo, 7 November 2025 – In accordance with the Instruction on the deadlines of electoral activities for the holding of early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, which will be held on Sunday, 23 November 2025, tomorrow, 8 November, is the day when the election campaign officially begins and will last until 22 November 2025 at 07:00 hours in the morning, when the election silence begins.
Pursuant to the provisions of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the “election campaign” is the period during which political subjects, in the manner prescribed by law, inform voters and the public about their programmes and candidates for the forthcoming elections.
We particularly emphasize that political subjects are prohibited from disseminating false information via the media that could jeopardise the integrity of the electoral process and mislead voters. In the event of a violation of this norm, the Central Election Commission of BiH is authorized to conduct the procedure and impose sanctions.
The Central Election Commission of BiH calls on political parties, candidates and supporters of political parties, independent candidates and their supporters, as well as persons employed or otherwise engaged in the election administration, to refrain from statements that raise tensions and to conduct a fair election campaign.
