As of 1 October 2025, Mr. Jovan Kalaba will serve as the President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Sarajevo, 24 September 2025 – At its 46th session today, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina carried out the procedure for the election of the President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The election was conducted from among the Serb members.
Following the completion of the procedure, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with its Rules of Procedure, decided that Mr. Jovan Kalaba will perform the duty of President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina as of 1 October 2025.
In accordance with Article 2.6. of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina: “The President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina shall be elected from among the members of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. One member of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina from among the Croats, Bosniaks, Serbs, and one member from among the Others shall perform the function of President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina on a rotational basis, once every seven years, for a term of 21 months.”
Mr. Jovan Kalaba will assume the duty of President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1 October 2025.
