H.E. Gabriele Derighetti, Ambassador of the Swiss Conferderation to Bosnia and Herzegovina visits the Central Election Commission
Sarajevo, 13.05.2025– The Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Gabriele Derighetti visited the Central Election Commission of BiH today, where they met with Dr. Irena Hadžiabdić, President of the Commission, and its members.
The meeting focused on the 2024 Local Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the ongoing preparations for the 2026 General Elections. Dr. Hadžiabdić highlighted the successful implementation of pilot projects involving new electoral technologies, emphasizing that these initiatives demonstrated the potential for a more efficient, reliable, and transparent electoral process in BiH.
Dr. Hadžiabdić also expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Derighetti for the continuous support the Swiss Confederation has provided to the Central Election Commission of BiH.
