Certificates of elections awarded to newly elected councilors in the Zenica-Doboj Canton and West Herzegovina Canton Assemblies
Sarajevo, 21.11.2022 - The constitutive sessions of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and West Herzegovina Canton Assemblies were held today.
The newly elected councilors in the Zenica-Doboj Canton Assembly were presented with the certificates of elections by Dr. Suad Arnautović, President of the Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mr. Željko Bakalar, member of the BiH CEC, while Mr. Vlado Rogić, member of the BiH CEC presented the certificates of elections to the councilors in the West Herzegovina Canton Assembly. The Zenica Doboj Canton Assembly has 35 councilors and West Herzegovina Canton Assembly has 23 councilors.
In the coming days the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina and cantonal assemblies will conduct a joint activity relating to the election of delegates to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the Instruction on the procedure for the implementation of indirect elections for bodies of authority in Bosnia and Herzegovina covered by the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, nine delegates from the Zenica-Doboj Canton Assembly are elected to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whereof four Bosniaks, two Croats, two Serbs and one from the ranks of Others. Seven delegates from the West Herzegovina Canton Assembly are elected to the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whereof one Bosniak, four Croats, one Serb and one from the ranks of Others. In accordance with the provisions of the BiH Election Law, this activity should be completed within one month from the date of confirmation of the election results, which means no later than December 2, 2022.
The elected officials are obliged, within 30 days from the date of publication of the confirmed results in the Official Gazette of BiH, to electronically enter data into the Asset Declaration form through the application available on the website of the Central Election Commission. The elected official submits the completed asset declaration form to the Central Election Commission of BiH in electronic form, for which the online application is used, and then the asset declaration form is printed and signed and submitted to the Central Election Commission of BiH for verification.
Dr. Arnautović, Mr. Željko Bakalar and Mr. Vlado Rogić congratulated the newly elected councilors for their electoral success and the mandates they won.
