ODIHR is assessing pre-election environment and activities on preparations for the 2024 Local Elections in BiH

Sarajevo, 21.05.2024– As part of the mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) to assess the needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a delegation consisting of Ms. Ana Rusu, senior election advisor and Ms. Martina Barker - Ciganikova, election advisor, visited the Central Election Commission today BiH, where a meeting was held with the president and members of the Central Election Commission of BiH.

During the meeting, Dr. Irena Hadžiabdić, President of the Central Election Commission of BiH, presented the status of implementation of OSCE/ODIHR recommendations from the Final Report on the observation of the 2022 General Elections in BiH.

The purpose of the Mission is to assess the pre-election environment and activities in preparation for the elections.
