The conditions to confirm results of indirect elections and allocate mandates in the HoP of FBiH Parliament not met

Sarajevo, 26.12.2022 -  The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has at its 99th session, held  on 20 December 2022, apportioned the remaining four (4) missing seats in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, one from the ranks of Serb people and three (3) from the group of Others,  in accordance with Article 10.16 paragraph (3) of the Election Law of BiH and the Criteria and procedure for apportionment of the missing seats in House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The deadline for filing appeals on four individual decisions on apportionment of seats expired on Friday, December 23, 2022. A total of 8 appeals were submitted to the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina through the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the appeals were submitted by Stojak Radojka, the Labor Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (4 appeals) and Novi početak /new beginning/ (3 appeals).

After preparing a statement based on all allegations in the appeals, the BiH Central Election Commission will submit the appeals together with the statements to the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH.

Therefore, the conditions have not yet been met for the Central Election Commission of BiH to confirm the results of the indirect elections and allocate mandates in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, hence the conditions for convening and holding the constitutive session of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH have not yet been met.
