Postponed elections at the polling station Hozići in Novi Grad to be held on Sunday, October 9

Sarajevo, 03.10.2022– The Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has at its 56th session pass the Decision on postponing and announcing the elections for polling station 007B051 “Hozići” in the basic constituency Novi Grad, given that  it was not possible to hold the elections at that polling station in in accordance with the BiH Election Law on October 2nd.

Postponed elections at polling station 007B051 “Hozići” will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

The 57th session of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina was opened today and it will be held continuously until all the requests of the municipal/city election commissions for issuing the orders to open the bags in order to properly consolidate and determine the election results from individual polling stations due to the fact that the PSCs did not fulfill all their obligations established by the Election Law of BiH and by-laws of the Central Election Commission of BiH are resolved. Requests were approved for 10 polling stations in Doboj, 6 in Široki Brijeg, 2 in Konjic, 12 in Zenica, 10 in Foča (RS), 1 in Odžak, 1 in Orašje, 1 in Čelić, 4 in Vukosavlje, 5 in Derventa, 3 in Domaljevac-Šamac, 3 in Bužim, 8 in Srebrenik, 3 in Rudo, 4 in Šamac, 14 in Srebrenica, 2 in Ribnik, 1 in Oštra Luka, 4 in Han Pjesk, 1 in Bosanski Grahovo and 4 in Vitez. Accredited election observers have the right to attend the aforementioned activities.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina informs the public that activities are also carried out in the Main Counting Center. Receipt of the polling material that is processed in the Main Counting Center is expected in the afternoon.

Ballots from polling stations for absentee voting, ballots from abroad, ballots of voters who voted via mobile teams and ballots of voters who voted by tendered ballots will be counted at the Main Counting Center in Sarajevo.

All activities in the Main Counting Center can be observed by observers accredited to observe the work of the Main Counting Center.
