MAIN CENTER FOR COUNTING STARTED ITS WORK

Sarajevo, February 21, 2017 – The main center for counting votes of certain categories of voters, who voted at the repeated elections for municipal mayor and municipal council in basic constituency Stolac, began its work today at 12:00 in the headquarters of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

 

In the Main center for counting, according to the schedule, the votes of voters who voted by mobile team, the votes of voters who voted by tendered ballots, votes of voters who voted in absentia, and votes of voters who voted by mail will be counted. Accredited election observers may attend counting of votes in the Main Center for Counting.

 

According to the schedule, the votes of voters who voted by mobile team and by tendered ballots will be counted today. Results from the Main Center for counting will be published on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH following the entry into the application.

 

Tomorrow the Main center for counting starts working at 10 a.m. and the following activities are planned: verification of the voting package arrived by mail from abroad, counting of verified ballots, processing and scanning of voter registers and the minutes of the work of the polling station committees.

 

The BiH Central Election Commission will count the ballots of voters who voted by mail that arrive to the BiH Central Election Commission by 1 March of this year, provided that the sending date on the stamp is February 19, 2017. So far, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina received about 500 voting package from abroad.
