Meeting with Coalition “Pod lupom”
On the occasion of conduct of Local Elections in BiH scheduled for November 15 i.e. for December 20, 2020 in the City of Mostar, the BiH Central Election Commission has today, August 31, 2020, held a meeting with the representatives of Coalition “Pod lupom”.
Coalition “Pod lupom” brings together civil society organizations, which are inter alia engaged in observation of the electoral process in BiH in all of its stages.
The Coalition “Pod lupom” announced an election observation mission for the 2020 Local Elections in BiH that includes around 100 long-term observers.
The topic of the meeting were organizational aspects of the 2020 Local Elections, process of accreditation of observers, and strengthening of institutional cooperation with the BiH CEC, which will together with potential joint advocacy of certain legal and other improvements in the election process be a significant segment of future joint activities.
On behalf of the Coalition “Pod lupom” the meeting with the president and members of the BiH CEC was attended by Mr. Vehid Šehić, Strategic Board President, Mr. Dario Jovanović, manager of project STEP and Coalition “Pod lupom”, Jelena Tanasković Mićanović, public policy coordinator and Ivica Ćavar, advocacy coordinator.
