Digitalization of electoral process in BiH

Sarajevo, November 15, 2017 – After Sarajevo and Banja Luka a roundtable “Digitalization of electoral process in BiH” was held today in the premises of Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH in Mostar. The organizers of the roundtable discussion are the BiH CEC, Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and Ministry of Transport and Communication of BiH.

              

The speakers at today’s roundtable discussion were Dr. Irena Hadžiabdić, president of the BiH CEC, Mr. Novak Božičković, member of the BiH CEC and Mr. Brano Vujičić, president of the ICT Association of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH.

 

The objective of the roundtable discussions is to contribute to the public discussion on possibilities to modernize and digitalize the electoral process in BiH and to review capabilities of the domestic ICT industry in terms of implementing the newest technological solutions that can be applied in elections across the world and in BiH.

 

Indisputably Bosnia and Herzegovina has sufficient capacities, intellectual and material, to make digitalization of electoral process a reality. New technologies in elections offer an accelerated electoral reform.
