Coordination team appointed for the introduction of specific electoral technologies into the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Sarajevo, 21 August 2025 – In accordance with the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Decision on the implementation of the multi-year project for the introduction of specific electoral technologies into the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Decision of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina enacting the Law on Amendments to the Law on Financing the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, dated 17 July 2025, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its session today, among other items, adopted the Decision on the establishment of the Coordination team for the introduction of specific electoral technologies into the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, defining its composition, tasks, and other issues within its scope of work.

The Coordination Team consists of 20 members, nominated from the following institutions: the Central Election Commission of BiH, the Ministry of Security of BiH, the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH, the Personal Data Protection Agency of BiH, the Public Procurement Agency of BiH, the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of BiH (IDDEEA), the Indirect Taxation Authority, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Office for Legislation, as well as telecom operators Eronet, Mtel, and BH Telecom. Proposals for members to be appointed to the Coordination Team are still expected from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH and the Joint Services of the Institutions of BiH.

The task of the Coordination Team is to serve as a professional and advisory body, providing support to the Central Election Commission of BiH in the process of introducing specific electoral technologies into the electoral process, within the scope of competences of the institutions from which its members are drawn.

The Central Election Commission of BiH will duly inform the public about all further activities.

Thanks to the support of the OSCE Mission to BiH, live broadcasting of the sessions of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been re-enabled via the YouTube channel. It should be noted that, due to the use of new equipment, the recording and broadcasting of sessions is still in the testing and adjustment phase.
