The Central Election Commission of BiH determined the termination of the mandate of the president of Republika Srpska
Sarajevo, 6 August 2025 – The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its session held today, adopted a decision on the termination of the mandate of Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, elected in the 2022 General Elections from the list of the political subject Alliance of Independent Social Democrats – SNSD – Milorad Dodik.
An appeal against the said decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH is allowed. The appeal must be submitted to the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within two days from the date of receipt of the decision, through the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with Article 6.9, paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Upon the finality of today’s decision, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will adopt a decision on calling and holding early elections, about which the public will be duly informed.
