Sarajevo, 16 September 2024 – Thanks to the support of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has modernized its warehouse with the addition of 15 barcode readers and two software applications.
The Central Election Commission of BiH manages a substantial volume of materials, ranging from ballots to equipment. For local elections, this involves approximately 35,000 distinct barcodes, and for general elections, this number doubles to around 70,000 barcodes. An efficient system for managing these materials can enhance organization, reduce errors, and ensure the swift availability of essential resources.
The implementation of the software solution offers numerous advantages over manual warehouse management methods, including:
The warehouse management software solution is essential for enhancing efficiency, security, and transparency in operations. It reduces costs, increases productivity, and enables better organization, thereby establishing a solid foundation for reliable warehouse management. For the Central Election Commission, especially in the context of election cycles, the application will ensure that all materials are available, accurately recorded, and distributed in a timely manner.
Thanks to the support of the OSCE Mission to BiH and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in BiH the optimization of warehouse space has been achieved, with the highest level of monitoring and control over materials both within the warehouse and in the field with municipal and city election commissions.
