“Promotion of new technologies in the electoral process” for students, elected and appointed members of government bodies, representatives of political parties, journalists and other interested individuals and organizations
Sarajevo, 10.10.2023– The second day of the open doors “Promotion of new technologies in the electoral process” has started in the Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, in cooperation with the Association of Election Officials in BiH, and it will last until October 13, 2023 from 14:00 to 15:30.
Students of two high schools from Sarajevo (Druga gimnazija and high dental school), a representative of the academia from the Faculty of electrical engineering Istočno Sarajevo, elected and appointed members of government bodies, representatives of political parties, students, journalists and other interested individuals attended the launch of the second day of “Open doors”. Those present had the opportunity to receive a practical presentation of the most modern equipment used at the polling stations, which refers to the automatic identification of voters, the process of voting and scanning of ballots, as well as the fast transfer of results. They also used the opportunity to talk with representatives of the Central Election Commission of BiH about the electoral system and electoral legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interest in the application of new technologies in the electoral process on the second OPEN DOOR DAY was great, particularly among young people.
