Sarajevo, August 9, 2022 – The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has on August 8 and 9, 2022 held the training of representatives of certified political entities for trainers of election observers and trainers of persons who will be authorized to submit complaints and appeals. The training is held as part of the preparations for holding of the General Elections scheduled for Sunday, October 2, 2022.
The operations of the polling station committee's members were presented during the training as well as the rights of election observers. The correct way of submitting complaints and appeals, and the conditions that must be met in order to approve the request for reopening of the bags and counting of the votes, were also presented in detail.
This two-day training for 90 representatives of certified political entities was an opportunity to present the new e-Observer application, which was created as part of the e-Izbori portal.
The observer registration application will enable the submission, verification and printing of requests for observer accreditation, including uploading the applicant's appropriate documentation in electronic form, storing data and electronic documents in the Central Election Commission of BiH, and will inform the applicant through the e-Izbori portal and e-mail about application status.
The development and launch of the e-Observer application shows the continuous commitment of the Central Electoral Commission of BiH to the improvement of the electoral process by introducing new technologies and digitizing individual segments of the electoral process.
The previous digitalization and the very establishment of the e-Izbori portal was realized thanks to the support of the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
