First shipment of paper for ballot printing transported with police escort
Sarajevo, July 29, 2022– The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina informs the public that the first shipment of paper for printing ballots for the General Elections in BiH, which will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022, has been transported from the company SPM-Security Papers s.r.o. from the Czech Republic.
The first shipment of paper for printing ballots was transported to the company “Unioninvestplastika” d.d. Sarajevo with police escort and supervision, as well as with the escort and control of authorized persons from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will provide printing and packaging services for ballots.
Total of 120 tons of paper are procured for the needs of printing about 14 million ballots.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina will inform the public in a timely manner about the start of the printing of ballots.
