The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has at its session held on January 13, 2009 passed a decision on establishing the results of the elections held for City Council of East Sarajevo and City Council of Sarajevo. The results of the vote for City Council of East Sarajevo were not submitted by Municipal Council East Stari Grad.
The BiH Central Election Commission will verify the election results and award mandates in City Council of East Sarajevo and City Council of Sarajevo at the session scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2009 after completion of a public lottery of candidates’ lists with same quotient. The lottery will be conducted for certain candidates’ lists for City Council of Sarajevo from the Municipal Councils of Stari Grad Sarajevo and Center Sarajevo, as well as for certain candidates’ lists for City Council of East Sarajevo from Municipal Councils of Sokolac and Trnovo (RS).
Instruction on lottery in the BiH Central Election Commission, as well as the decisions on place and date of the lottery for the City Council of Sarajevo and City Council of East Sarajevo will be available to the public at the BiH CEC’s web site, www.izbori.ba. Today, the BiH Central Election Commission also passed a decision on awarding compensation mandate in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly. The mandate was awarded to Željko Kuzmanović after termination of mandate of Snježana Rajilić.
