The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has, within the deadline set by law, at its 75th session held on November 11, 2008 passed a Decision on verification of the results of the 2008 Local Elections. The Decision does not verify the results for municipal mayor in constituencies Novi Travnik and East Ilidža, and for the Municipal Assemblies in constituencies Jajce, Bijeljina, Čapljina, Goražde, Foča and Tuzla. Verification of the election results for the above-mention constituencies will follow after the Appellate Division of BiH Court passes the decisions on the appeals.
Verified results will be available at the web site of the BiH Central Election Commission www.izbori.ba. The results are final and can be implemented. Therefore the BiH Central Election Commission will organize a ceremony for awarding the Certificates on mandates to the newly elected municipal mayors and City Mayor of Banja Luka on Friday, November 07, 2008 in Sarajevo, while the certificates on mandates for newly elected representatives in the Assembly of BiH District of Brčko will be awarded indirectly through chairmen of municipal councils (present ones).

Note: Awarding of Certificates on mandates in constituencies for which the election results were not confirmed will be organized in due time.
