A specialized three-day training of media representatives from BiH held

A three-day training of representatives of leading media from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in Neum from 9-1.7.2021 organized by the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo within the project "Support to the Integral and Inclusive Election Process in BiH".

 

The lecturers were the President of the BiH CEC Željko Bakalar, and members Irena Hadžiabdić, Vanja Bjelica - Prutina and Suad Arnautović.

 

A portion of the project activities under the project "Support to the integral and inclusive election process in BiH" is dedicated to specialized education of media representatives on the topic of professional and objective monitoring and reporting on the election process.

 

The aim of the training is to acquaint the representatives of the leading media in BiH with the most important aspects of the electoral process, whereat they will get to know this topic in more detail and have the opportunity to increase media capacity in Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of better understanding and competent reporting on all aspects of complex electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

The Council of Europe has recognized the importance of including as many entities as possible in getting acquainted with the electoral process, electoral legislation, existing solutions, but also with the challenges posed by the need to improve electoral legislation and other improvements in the electoral process, including possible technical improvements by introducing new technologies in the electoral process.
