On-line meeting of the BiH CEC and the City election commission of Banja Luka with the Banja Luka City Mayor and the president of the City Assembly of Banja Luka

Members of the BiH Central Election Commission dr. Ahmet Šantić, Mr. Vlado Rogić, Mr. Jovan Kalaba and Mr. Željko Bakalar held today an online meeting with the City election commission of Banja Luka on preparation and conduct of the 2020 Local Elections scheduled for November 15. Mr. Igor Radojičić, Banja Luka City Mayor and Mr. Zoran Talić, president of the City Assembly of Banja Luka also attended the meeting.

 

Mr. Vlado Rogić, member of the BiH CEC, informed the interlocutors about the activities that the BiH CEC has been conducting, underlining the obligations of the election management bodies in terms of changes and addenda to the regulations.

 

Mrs. Nada Batinar, president of the City election commission of Banja Luka, informed the BiH CEC about challenges and the activities it is conducting, and what kind of support the City election commission of Banja Luka is expecting from the City of Banja Luka authorities in terms of that.

 

City Mayor Radojičić said inter alia that the city administration will provide all necessary technical and logistical support to the City election commission of Banja Luka in preparation and conduct of the Local Elections.

 

Nn behalf of the City election commission of Banja Luka members Mr. Vili Kiljanac, Mrs. Ljilja Dabić and Mrs. Ljilja Popović also attended the meeting.

 

This is continuation of the BiH CEC’s practice to regularly meet with the municipal/city election commission in order to address any possible problems in the operations of the election administration in a timely manner.
