The BiH Central Election Commission elected to the Executive Board of the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB)
Sarajevo, 04.09.2019 – The 4th General Assembly of the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) is being held in Bengalur (India) and the BiH Central Election Commission was elected to the Executive Board of this Association for a two-year term.
It is an exceptional honor and success for Bosnia and Herzegovina having in mind that the A-WEB brings together EMBs from 106 countries of the world, and that representatives of only three European countries are members of the Executive Board. The BiH CEC was member of the Oversight committee of this Association before. On behalf of the BiH CEC Dr. Ahmet Šantić, member of the BiH CEC thanked for the confidence entrusted.
The Conference “Initiatives and challenges of social media and information technologies in the elections” is being held today as part of the General Assembly of A-WEB and is attended by the representative of the BiH CEC who will present experience of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
