Delegation of the Election Commission of India in a seven day visit to the BiH Central Election Commission
Sarajevo, March 21, 2018 – In line with the Memorandum of cooperation between the Election Commission of India and the BiH Central Election Commission, signed in January of last year, a five-member delegation of the Election Commission of India has arrived to Sarajevo where in the next seven days it will deliver a training to the members and employees of the BiH CEC in the Center for Education of the BiH CEC.
The delegation also consists of the representatives of the Indian Institute for Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) that works within the Election Commission of India.
All segments of the election process will be covered during the seven-day training on “election management” including: role of the EMBs, voter registration, election planning, voter education, vote count and transfer of results, as well as electronic voting. Experiences of India, but also of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in all of these segments of election process will be presenting during the workshop.
