Ambassador of Switzerland visiting BiH CEC
Sarajevo, August 7, 2017 – Ambassador of Switzerland H.E. Mrs. Andrea Rauber Saxer visited today the BiH Central Election Commission.
Ambassador talked about current and planned activities of the BiH CEC with dr. Irena Hadžiabdić, president of the BiH Central Election Commission. Dr. Hadžiabdić said that activities for opening of the Center for education with the BiH CEC are brought to the end. The opening ceremony is scheduled for October.
The interlocutors discussed amendments to the electoral legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dr. Hadžiabdić said that the BiH CEC has prepared a proposal of amendments to the BiH Election Law, which was submitted to the Inter-departmental working group and relate to improvement of the electoral process in terms of introduction of early voting and new technologies.
