Memorandum of Understanding between the BiH CEC and the OSCE Mission to BiH
Sarajevo, July 04, 2017 – Memorandum of Understanding was signed today in Sarajevo between the BiH Central Election Commission and the Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The memorandum was signed by dr. Irena Hadžiabdić, president of BiH CEC and Ambassador Jonathan Moore, head of the OSCE Mission to BiH.
By signing today’s Memorandum the OSCE Mission to BiH continues providing assistance to the BiH Central Election Commission in obtaining expert opinions and views of relevant international organizations (including, inter alia, the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights) on all issues under competence of the BiH Central Election Commission.
Memorandum provides for implementation of projects aimed at improving electoral process as well as meeting all other responsibilities of the BiH Central Election Commission.
Cooperation between the BiH Central Election Commission and the OSCE Mission to BiH has been actually existing since the establishment of the BiH CEC.
