Sarajevo, August 12, 2016 – The BiH Central Election Commission has at today’s session passed a Decision on determining and publishing number of voters registered in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for out-of-country voting at the 2016 Local Elections. The Decision sets forth that a total of 65.453 voters will be registered in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for out-of-country voting.
The BiH CEC has at the same session passed a decision rejecting record in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ Register for out-of-country voting to 6.718 voters since all legally set prerequisites were not met (no proof of identity, no proof of citizenship, no proof of permanent place of residence, illegible application, etc.). The appeals to aforementioned decision, which will be published on the BiH CEC’s web site, can be filed with the Appellate Division of the BiH Court through the BiH CEC by August 15, 2016 until 24:00 hours The appeals can be filed by fax to +387 33 251 329, e-mail [email protected] or in person at the BiH CEC’s headquarters, 7 Danijela Ozme Street, Sarajevo. The BiH Central Election Commission invites all voters who submitted an application for out of country voting to visit the BiH CEC’s web site and to check the status of their application and eventually exercise their right to file an appeal.
In line with the expressed will of more than 50 voters, the BiH Central Election Commission passed a decision that polling stations will be established in two diplomatic consulate representation missions in BiH: Embassy of BiH in Belgrade and the General consulate in Stuttgart.
