DECISION ON ANNOUNCING AND ADMINISTERING 2016 LOCAL ELECTIONS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA ON MAY 4
Sarajevo, April 14, 2016 – The BiH Central Election Commission will in line with the provisions of the BiH Election Law pass a Decision on announcing and administering 2016 Local Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina on a session that will be held on May 4, 2016 and according to which the elections will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016. The Instruction on deadline and sequence of electoral activities for the 2016 Local Elections will be also passed at this session.
It is very important to underline that besides all other conditions set forth by the Law, all potential candidates must have a registered place of permanent residence in the constituency in which they want to stand for the office by the day elections are announced.
